I am honored that you have chosen my story as one of your stories.
As a teacher, I realize that I plant ideas as seeds, but they may take a few years to grow and blossom. I have come to terms with the fact that I cannot always see the fruits of my labor. It is rare to find a student who is able to internalize the message and verbalize it as clearly as you have. Thank you for being such a thoughtful and receptive student!
I loved this as well :) I agree with you, I still remember my teachers from MS, I would not be the same person without them in my life. I am very proud of you :)
We need a billboard to put this up on so the world can see it, actually, a whole lot of billboards, to really get the message out. and you are so right: I often think every politician should have to work with other cultures, particularly poor ones, as a prerequisite for holding power. Go Ruby!
I wish most in the United States would seize onto this valuing of multiple stories and not the single story of their circumspect tribe. You give me hope that it is possible for those with enough visions to embrace new perspectives.
She is teaching you how to think.... best lesson ever.... and if she hadn’t been “open” to tutoring, she may never have had the joy of pursuing her passion and meeting people like you!

This is another thoughtful, well written piece, Ruby. I love that you chose to write about a teacher (and an inspiring woman). So proud of you! xo
Interesting story Ruby...thought provoking and inspiring.
Another great story! I'm so proud of you, dear Grand-daughter! :)
Thank you for editing!
Happy to do it! :)
Wonderful read. I also like the illustration. Also your work?
Yes! Thank you for reading. This means a lot.
Love the illustration too. Perfectly captures what you wrote about. You’re an exquisite writer.
The illustration is not her work. I was proud to see that she sited it at the end of the story.
My fault for not looking and checking the references. Great choice of illustration!
